On Tuesday 22nd of February 2011 Christchurch was hit by a very large earthquake that has taken lives, destroyed buildings, interrupted businesses and made communications difficult.
Following the earthquake disaster the city and many of you are just beginning what will no doubt be a long road to recovery, and we’d like to help where we can – EQC claims, employment, insurance, leases, termination of contracts and elder care issues, just to name a few. We are up and running as a firm and you should not hesitate to contact us if you need our assistance.
Our thoughts go out to everyone who has been affected by the earthquake. We sincerely hope that our clients, their family and friends have come through without injury. We are fortunate – all our staff are safe, for which we are extremely thankful. We are committed to supporting our staff, our clients and their families, and the wider Christchurch community.
The New Brighton office is closed until further notice but we are pleased to advise that our Kaiapoi office is functioning normally and our IT systems, including email, are operating. Calls to our New Brighton office are being diverted to our Kaiapoi office. Bill Herbison and Caroline Frost may also be contacted direct on their mobile phones.
We are committed to building a strong relationship with you and to helping our clients and the city of Christchurch through this difficult time.
Best wishes to all of you from Bill Herbison and the staff at Pier Law and we look forward to assisting you.
