Muhammad completed his law degree at Victoria University in Wellington and graduated in 2015.  Following this, Muhammad started working at an international immigration law firm in Singapore, and eventually transferred to the firm’s branch in New Zealand in 2019.  Muhammad completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Immigration Advisory in 2021 and moved to a local immigration law firm based in Auckland to expand his experience.  Muhammad made the move down to Christchurch in 2024 to join the Pier Law team with the challenge of establishing and heading our immigration department. 

Muhammad has a strong background in dealing with corporate immigration matters including accreditation and immigration compliance audits.  He focusses on complex immigration matters such as character and medical issues, unlawfulness, appeals to the tribunal, PPI’s and Ministerial appeals.   

Widely known fact:  Muhammad is down to earth, approachable, extremely knowledgeable, and always strives for the best result for his clients. 

Little known fact:  Muhammad completed compulsory military service for two years in Singapore prior to moving to New Zealand in 2012.
